EFL ACADEMIC TEACHING TEAM
Exsportise Summer Schools deliver exceptional residential English language and sports camps in the UK, crafted for students aged 9 - 17. Our camps blend authentic 21st-century communicative-based English teaching with sports, creating an engaging multi-national environment where students learn and grow through something they love (English Through).
Set in world-renowned and vibrant learning centres, our academic EFL (ESOL) program emphasises quality. We use only the best modern facilities and provide real professional development opportunities to our teachers, led by industry experts. We look for well-qualified, passionate EFL (ESOL) teachers and Directors of Studies who love inspiring young learners. COACHING TEAM
We are looking for experienced and qualified coaches and international players to join our professional academies. After reading the job descriptions and finding a suitable role, apply to work with us using our online summer camp portal.
You will be asked to complete a self-disclosure about any criminal record and provide the contact details of three referees.
The short application process will take 15-20 minutes!

After receiving your application, we will screen this for minimum qualifications and necessary characteristic required for the job.
If successful, you will be invite to a short 10-minute phone / video call. We use a standardised selection criteria for each job role to ensure a fair and objectively justified shortlisting and selection process.
Your motivation behind applying will be explored, basic information checked, and an opportunity given for any initial questions.
If successful, you will be invited to a second face-to-face/video interview.
(Typically within a few days of applying)

The second interview will be carried out by another member of the recruitment team.
Interview questions will revolve around the skills, knowledge, experience and behaviours required for the position applied for and any gaps in work history and anomalies explored. Additionally, we will ask about your motivation for and experience of working with children.
Depending on the role applied for, the interview may also include tasks in order to assess your real-word abilities and gauge your suitability for the role.
EFL teachers will undergo a further teaching-focused interview with our Academic Manager or one of our experienced Directors of Studies.

All applicants will be told the outcome of their application.
If successful, you will be given a conditional job offer based on at least two satisfactory professional references, Identity & Right to Work in the UK, qualifications and enhanced DBS checks (as well as Police check if living abroad).
Once all safer recruitment checks have been completed, you will receive your contract as well as extra information. Once signed, you are part of TEAM ORANGE!

Initial telephone or video interviews will be carried out to narrow down candidates to those considered for employment. An applicant’s motivation behind applying will be explored, basic information checked, and an opportunity given for any initial questions.
Successful applicants will be invited to a second, face-to face / video interview.
Applicants will be assessed by another member of the recruitment team, usually the General Manager, or another experienced member of the company (e.g. a Centre Manager, Head of Specialist Academies or Director of Studies) and notes will be taken. Interviews will be carried out either in person or via Google Meet video calls. Additionally, interview days consisting of a group assessment and individual interviews may be offered.
Interview questions will revolve around the skills, knowledge, experience and behaviours required for the position applied for. Applicants will be asked about gaps in work history and any anomalies explored to confirm the applicant can meet the safeguarding criteria (in line with Safer Recruitment Training).
All interviews will include questions to find out the applicant’s motivation for and experience of working with children.
If any information regarding past disciplinary action, allegations, cautions, or convictions has been disclosed on the application, this will be discussed and considered in the context of the individual case.
EFL teacher applicants will undergo a further interview with an Exsportise Director of Studies with a focus on teaching skills, style, and expectations. In case a DoS is unavailable, a Head Office member will administer the teaching and methodology part of the interview but it will be evaluated by a DoS. The questions will also include behavioural questions about an applicant’s rewarding or difficult time in the classroom or when preparing a class.
At least one member of the interview team will have undertaken “Recruiting safely in ELT” training offered by English UK, the national association of accredited English language centres in the UK.
At least two references must be provided and will be followed up. Referees will be asked specifically about the applicant’s suitability to work with children and whether there have ever been any concerns about work with children and young people.
References may be taken up before your interview (applicants can indicate on the application form should they not wish their current employer to be contacted prior to a conditional job offer but this reference must be obtained prior to the start of employment). As prospective employer, we reserve the right to contact any previous employer, not just the referees provided.
References from family, friends or basic references are not acceptable. Any offer of employment may be withdrawn if references are not received, are inadequate or it becomes evident that an applicant has knowingly withheld or have given misleading or false information.

If successful you will be sent a conditional job offer subject to receipt of:
Proof of identity and (where applicable) your qualifications (we will need to see originals before you start with us)
Proof of your right to work in the UK (e.g. British or Irish citizen, EU citizens with pre-settled or settled status from the EU Settlement Scheme or a work visa; again, we will need to see originals before you start with us).
A satisfactory Enhanced DBS check (and Police ‘Certificate of good conduct’ if resident outside the UK); we will assist you with the application and pay the full cost of the UK check(s)
Checks against the “Barred List” and, if applicable, “Prohibited List” will also be carried out.
Once all safer recruitment checks have been carried out satisfactorily, you will be sent a contract together with additional documentation (such as job description).
Once we have received your signed contract and other required documentation we will send you our Employee Handbook and some other information/advice on what you need to do before you start work.
If we have not been able to see original documents or certificates, you must present these to us at Induction or on arrival at camp and before taking up your appointment. Copies will be kept on your staff account,
If your application is unsuccessful, all documentation relating to your application will be confidentially destroyed no later than 12 months after the date you are informed of the outcome.
