Salary:
18 - 20 years: Β£540 per week (Β£481 + 12.07 % holiday pay)
21+ years: Β£660 per week (Β£589 + 12.07 % holiday pay)
Overview:
The Social Media & Marketing Content Creator(Course Assistant) is responsible for creating engaging content that showcases the unique blend of language learning through sport, music and dance, general camp life and what it means to be part of Team Orange.
The ideal candidate has experience in photography, videography, and social media management, along with a passion for storytelling and working with children in an energetic camp setting. This role is best for someone who wants to gain valuable experience in content creation and marketing with real hands-on experience! Successful applicants will have the opportunity to bring fresh knowledge and energy to the courses and develop responsibility in what could be their first role.
Course Assistants work with a team of staff to ensure that each element of the summer schools is conducted in a safe and secure manner and a positive learning environment is created with plenty of potential for development.

Main Roles & Accountabilities
MAIN CONTENT ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Content Creation: To capture high-quality photos, videos, and stories daily, highlighting camp activities, sports sessions, language classes, weekend excursions, and special events.
Social Media Management: To manage and post to our social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) to engage parents, agents and followers with regular updates and behind-the-scenes content.
Storytelling: To develop content that tells the story of camp life, focusing on childrenβs growth, friendships, and memorable experiences.
Editing and Posting: To edit photos and videos for daily posts, reels, and stories, maintaining a consistent, fun, and on-brand style.
Engagement: To monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and reactions; engage with followers, parents, and the camp community as appropriate.
Collaborate with Staff: To work with other Exsportise staff to identify special moments and unique aspects of the camp to capture.
Maintain Privacy Standards: To ensure that all content respects camp privacy policies and guidelines, obtaining necessary permissions when capturing children in media.
Assist with Media Projects: To support additional media needs, including creating end-of-week videos, newsletters, blogs, or photo gallery as required.
Scheduling: Create and plan posts in advance and help continue this beyond camp.
Additional Accountabilities:
To assist with looking after all Exsportise students and their well-being and happiness throughout their stay at camp.
To assist with the evening events programme (and lead activities), which is organised and run by the Events Managers
To supervise students on weekend excursions and assist with student arrivals and departures at airports / Eurostar station
To carry out mealtime supervision, wake-up and bedtime duties on a rota basis
To supervise students during break times
To take camp photos and videos when required (never with own equipment) and assist with creating social media content.
To support the Administrators and Events Managers with administrative duties as well as evening events preparations if required
Help the camp to collate the weekly student feedback
Help collate and create the Weekly Camp video
To be an active presence in the boarding houses outside of timetabled sessions (e.g. coaching sessions/ lessons/ evening events).
Work together with all staff to monitor meal times to ensure students are in attendance, eating well, and integrating well with other students.
To help set up / pack up camp as required
To carry out any other reasonable duties

About You
All staff are responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the centre. Our top priority is the safety of children and maintaining the highest standards. We require staff members to exhibit high personal standards and to be friendly, positive, and approachable while maintaining a professional and calm demeanour. Staff should be adept at handling sensitive situations, adhering to confidentiality and data protection guidelines, serving as good role models, maintaining professional boundaries and contributing to a positive summer school environment.
We look for Team Members who are: (Personal Specification & qualifications)
Team working skills and time management (organisational) skills
Proven experience in social media content creation, preferably in a camp, sport or youth environment
Strong photography, videography, and editing skills
Familiarity with social media platforms and their best practices (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Mailchimp etc.)
Creativity and ability to tell a story through content
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a fast-paced schedule
A positive, adaptable, and friendly attitude; ability to connect with kids and staff
Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Photoshop) is a plus
Flexible and adaptable approach to working hours
Desired: Previous experience in working with children and/or leading events or trips is preferred, and a sporting background to help assist with sports where needed
Working Conditions:
Rota & Days Off: Rotas and days off are scheduled by the Centre Manager. Any adjustments need their approval. Employees will work 6 days a week, with one dedicated 24-hour off period.

Working Hours: Typically 6 hours per day, Mon - Fri. Weekends are longer. Additional house and meal duties are on a rota basis. You'll be requested to sign an opt-out agreement for the 48-hour working week.
Welfare & Intensity: Our programmes require commitment and are action-packed. Days can be long and demanding. Regardless of being on or off duty, Exsportise is committed to safeguarding and prioritising the welfare of students and staff is paramount.
Accommodation: Staff housing is provided at the course centre, a single room with shared bathroom facilities.
Dress Code: When overseeing activities, sportswear is required, so please avoid excessively short or revealing attire.
Alcohol, Smoking and Substance abuse: Given your role with children, the possession and consumption of alcohol and substance abuse is strictly prohibited on site or during working hours. Smoking, including the use of electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS) such as e-cigarettes, vapes etc. is only permitted in designated smoking areas and when off duty.
As part of the onboarding process, you will be asked to attend an online/in person meeting/event before the start of our courses.
