Summer Camp Medical Facilities and Arrangements

To support our students, we offer 24/7 on-site medical care at all our summer camps. As a leader in student well-being, each school will have two on-site medical officers, a medical bay (containing a treatment room and sick-beds), and several trained first-aiders.

Our qualified Medical Officers will attend to any initial cases of illness or injury during a student's stay at camp. In addition to administering prescribed medication for existing medical conditions, they will also provide students with common over-the-counter medicines (such as paracetamol). Our schools are also conveniently close to excellent hospitals and general medical practices where appointments with doctors can be arranged if needed.

If you would like to speak to our medical screening team for reassurance that we can cater for your child, please book a free appointment here: Speak to an expert

Medical Form and Medical Conditions

To ensure we provide the best care for your child, we require completed Medical and Consent Forms at the time of booking. The form requests various permissions as well as accurate details of any information that may affect your child's safety or well-being, including pre-existing medical conditions, allergies and/or learning needs. If your child has a medical condition, our Medical Advisor may reach out to you to discuss further details, depending on its complexity. Please note that students are accepted on the understanding that they are generally in good health.

For safety reasons, all medicines must be handed into the Medical Team, who will securely store them in the Medical Facility and administer them correctly when needed. Medication must be clearly labelled in English, in its original container, and suitable for the student's age, with correct dosage and instructions matching the Medical Questionnaire. Without the proper information we request, the medication cannot be administered at Exsportise.

If your child arrives with or develops a medical condition not detailed on your booking, and their needs cannot be safely met, our Medical Advisor will review whether they can continue on our camp (See Section 10 of our T&Cs).

Doctor visits | UK Health Provision

For any emergency care or cases where the medical care needed exceeds the scope of our Medical team and provisions, we will arrange for a student to be seen by a Medical Professional. In such an event, it is vital that parents provide up-to-date medical details of their child (at the time of booking) to ensure they receive appropriate medical attention in any urgent situations.

Any medical bills arising from such visits will be billed directly to parents. Included in our fee, we provide Comprehensive Travel Insurance; however, it is the responsibility of parents to review that the medical cover provided as part of the booking is adequate for their child. To check if your child is exempt from paying for health services in the UK, please check the NHS website here.

For more details, please check our First Aid Policy and Travel Insurance Policy.
