(4-6 weeks starting June 27th or July 4th)
Salary (depending on experience):
From: £615 per week (£548 + 12.07 % holiday pay)
To: £675 per week (£602 + 12.07 % holiday pay)
Overview:
The primary responsibility of Academy Coaches is to coach and ensure the safety, well-being and enjoyment of players during coaching sessions. In conjunction with the Head Coach, Academy Coaches will provide a variety of sessions in an immersive environment tailored to meet the learning needs and goals of the students, leading to improved sporting and language abilities. Additionally, you will be accountable for the supervision and welfare of students during and outside of coaching sessions.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to earn, learn, and grow while showcasing your skills and enhancing your CV. You'll be able to add value to our courses by contributing to sports workshops or developing the sports programme. It is a valuable and opportunistic experience to see the inner workings of professional sports and work with leading brands (Arsenal Football Development). Additionally it offers networking and future job opportunities with industry professionals in fields of work including - teaching, sports business, professional sports (players), coaching and more. It will also help you grow in a personal and professional capacity by learning and working with Ex-Olympians, professional and international coaches and players, and English teachers with worldwide experience. You can also inspire other staff members and young professionals!
Main Roles & Accountabilities
To implement the coaching plan as agreed with the Academy Head Coach. Session content is not pre-set by Exsportise in order to suit staff experience and knowledge. Sessions should be progressive and tailored to meet the learning needs and goals of the students
To ensure sessions are delivered in a proactive and engaged fashion and in a safe, secure, and tolerant environment
To develop players technically, tactically, physically and psycho-socially and see them “grow” on all levels
To deliver all coaching aspects in English only
To prepare for each session and to keep a record of the session plans. The Head Coach or Centre Manager may ask for session plans at any time
To ensure risk assessments are considered and sessions are delivered safely.
To Complete a written report for each student of your group at the end of each week
To help the Head Coach ensure that all activity equipment is kept in good condition and stored safely after each session
Help deliver sports, nutrition, health and mindset workshops

About You
All staff are responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the centre. Our top priority is the safety of children and maintaining the highest standards. We require staff members to exhibit high personal standards and to be friendly, positive, and approachable while maintaining a professional and calm demeanour. Staff should be adept at handling sensitive situations, adhering to confidentiality and data protection guidelines, serving as good role models, maintaining professional boundaries and contributing to a positive summer school environment.
We look for Team Members who are: (Personal Specification & qualifications)
Minimum qualification for your chosen activity (must be valid to coach in the UK):
Basketball: “Club Coach” (was Level 2) or higher
Dance: Dance degree/ diploma
Football: UEFA C or B (was Level 2) or higher
Golf: PGA diploma or other recognised golf coaching qualification
Hockey: “Sessional Coach” (was Level 2) or higher
Rugby: Level 2 or higher
Tennis: “LTA Instructor” (was level 2) or higher (PTR/RPT equivalent accepted)
If less than level 2, Level 1 plus extensive coaching experience and/or playing experience of min. national league
Valid First Aid Certificate (in-date and relevant to uphold the coaching qualification)
Valid Safeguarding Children Certificate
Able to motivate children and young adults of all ability levels
Strong leadership skills and ability to set high standards, hard working
Enthusiastic and friendly with willingness to get involved in all aspects of camp
Good communication skills with people at all levels
Flexible and adaptable approach to working hours
Working Conditions:
Rota & Days Off: Rotas and days off are scheduled by the Centre Manager. Any adjustments need their approval. Employees will work 6 days a week, with one dedicated 24-hour off period.

Working Hours: Typically 8:45- 17:45 per day Mon-Fri. Weekends may be longer. Additional house & meal duties are on rota basis . Additional house and meal duties are on a rota basis. You'll be requested to sign an opt-out agreement for the 48-hour working week.
Welfare & Intensity: Our programmes require commitment and are action-packed. Days can be long and demanding. Regardless of being on or off duty, Exsportise is committed to safeguarding and prioritising the welfare of students and staff is paramount.
Accommodation: Staff housing is provided at the course centre, a single room with shared bathroom facilities.
Dress Code: When overseeing activities, sportswear is required, so please avoid excessively short or revealing attire.
Alcohol, Smoking and Substance abuse: Given your role with children, the possession and consumption of alcohol and substance abuse is strictly prohibited on site or during working hours. Smoking, including the use of electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS) such as e-cigarettes, vapes etc. is only permitted in designated smoking areas and when off duty.
As part of the onboarding process, you will be asked to attend an online/in person meeting/event before the start of our courses.

You will be asked to state that you have no known reason why you cannot work with children
